Customer Appreciation Program

Announcing: La Ishá's Brand New Customer Appreciation Program!

Dear Friends and Family,

Happy Birthday to us! La Ishá is celebrating the beginning of our 3rd year in business and we couldn't have done it without you! We thank you for your loyalty, enthusiastic support, and valuable feedback.

If you are a client, you already know that we are committed to providing you with top quality skincare products and exceptional customer service. Now we are going to reward your continued support by giving you even more value for your money. Introducing: La Ishá's new Customer Appreciation Program!

With no membership fee and a simplified reward system, our Customer Appreciation Program is an easy way for you to earn points for every purchase you make, and cash them in for free products.

Here's the scoop: For every $10 you spend, you will earn 1 point. Every time you accumulate 200 points we will send you a $40 electronic gift certificate that is redeemable immediately on our website. There are no black-out dates or expiration dates! Use your points whenever you need to do a little gift giving, holiday or birthday shopping, celebrate a special occasion, or just reward yourself with a little extra love. Point for point, La Ishá's Customer Appreciation Program offers more value to our customers than some of the leading customer appreciation programs in the country!

In fact, we are taking it one step higher by offering you an unprecedented feature: we are making our point system retroactive, and automatically crediting you for every purchase you have made with us since 2009!

There are several additional ways for you to earn extra Customer Appreciation Points. These include:

10 Points for sending us a Video Testimonial* about your favorite La Ishá products
8 Points for each friend you refer who places an order (Refer-A-Friend)**
6 Points for Before and After Pictures* that show how our products have helped you improve your skin
3 Points for Written Testimonials* recommending your favorite La Ishá formulations

Excited? We are too! So, how do you get started? To participate in our program, make sure you are signed up for our monthly e-newsletter so you will get all the latest information about the program and other upcoming specials, including new product promotions, advance notice of sales, and special double points days. We will take care of all the rest!

Thank you again for your continued business and support. We look forward to helping you look your best, and fulfilling all your skincare needs!

As always, your valuable feedback is both welcome and appreciated.

Wishing you the blessings of good health and timeless beauty,
Sharon Gnatt Epel and the Staff of La Isha Natural and Organic Skincare

A Quick Primer in Dry Skin Basics: How to Win the War Against Dry Skin!

Do you suffer from dry skin? Is it red and flaky; tight and painful? Does it crack and bleed in the winter? Worst of all: Does it itch and keep you awake at night?
Dry skin that goes unchecked is more than uncomfortable: it can actually lead to more serious health problems. The skin is not only the largest organ in the body, it is our primary defense against outside infection. When this external barrier is compromised, all kinds of intruders can get in and wreak havoc with our health.

What makes skin dry out?
- Harsh soaps
- Some medications
- Medical conditions like hypothyroidism and diabetes
- Toners, creams and moisturizers that contain a high level of alcohol and perfume
- Indoor heating/air-conditioning
- Cold, windy weather
- Over-exposure to the sun
- Prolonged exposure to long, hot baths/showers

What Can You Do to Win the War Against Dry Skin?
1. Start with a Cleanser that does not strip away your body’s natural oils. We recommend La Ishá’s Gentle Aromatherapy Face Wash, to remove makeup and environmental impurities without irritating your skin or drying it out. Use lukewarm water to rinse. Pat dry.

2. Use an Exfoliant to Remove Dead Skin!
Dead skin can give your skin an ashy, dull appearance. La Ishá’s Orange Coconut Skin Polish is the only exfoliant we know of that actually infuses hydration into your skin, and is gentle enough to use under your eyes and on tender lips! Plus it smells good enough to eat! Exfoliation will enhance your skin’s ability to absorb new moisture.

3. Next: Follow up with a really good moisturizer!
The purpose of using a moisturizer is to create a barrier against the elements and keep moisture locked in. Avoid products that contain alcohol, as they tend to be drying. Use a natural oil-based cream formula to quench dry skin (La Ishá’s Nutrient Rich Face Creme is exceptionally emollient and healing!) and be sure to stay away from harmful ingredients like mineral oil that can have exactly the opposite effect that you want. A cheap byproduct of crude oil distillation, mineral oil not only dries out your skin but can cause increased acne and clogged pores. If you keep up with current research you know that petroleum derivatives have also been implicated in the development of various cancers and health problems.
Make sure to apply your moisturizer while your skin is still damp!
This way it will trap in the moisture that is still on the surface of your skin. Allow the cream to soak in for a few minutes before getting dressed. Your skin should stay moist and protected for hours!
